I dare you to try and be in Amsterdam for a week and not take hundreds of photos. Each turn in the city offers another great view from another angle that you didn’t see a few minutes earlier.
And of course, each of these Amsterdam photos, with every change in lighting, give a whole new perspective…
Sunrise over a canal
A typical Dutch windmill
A family of canal swans
A lonely bicycle at dusk
Canal by night
Street life
There are always red lights on
The clock tower
Amsterdam is a great place, one can take as many pictures as possible, and yet there will be so much more left to capture the next time he goes there.
thanks for sharing the picture, the night time pictures are particularly excellent,

Thanks Debbie, it’s easy to go picture happy…
great pics. I didn’t get to take too many photos when I was in Amsterdam because memory cards were really expensive back in 2006 so I held back on snapping shots. 🙁 Must go back

we are really trying to cut down on quantity and increase quality. I hear you about how expensive memory was back then, now it’s dirt cheap. Thanks for the comment Gerard 🙂
Fantastic pictures as always. I will make it to Amsterdam one day! Been saying that for years!

Cheers Andrea, it’s too bad that you had rain, but from what everybody told us, that’s Amsterdam in autumn. Too bad we couldn’t meet up again 🙁
Amazing photos. We are heading to Amsterdam in January and cannot wait.

It is such a cool city, I would love to see the canals frozen and some snow in the city. That would make some incredible photos.
I love the bicycle accents, such an important part of the culture there. Beautiful!
Gorgeous photos! I especially like the canal by night.

Beautiful photos! I agree that Amsterdam is beautiful with infinite photo opportunities. We visited 6 years ago with a basic point-and-shoot camera. I’d love to go back with a nicer camera!

I love ALL of these photos. I spent 5 days in Bogota and took over 1000 photos, so I am certain I would fill every memory card I own in a week in Amsterdam.

Interesting angle on your windmill shot, just goes to show that landscape photography does not have to have a horizontal horizon.

We have a lot of fun playing with camera angles, sometimes they work, other times they don’t! I particularly like that picture as well!
