Without question, the terrain in Greenland is unlike anything we have ever experienced.

It is completely other-worldly, a phrase I may have used in the past to describe other locales, but now I realize that such use was naive and excessive.

Because nothing, nothing, can compare to this remote corner of the Arctic.

Until such time as we can visit the moon (!), we believe that we have come as close as possible on earth.

  1. Whoaaa, you guys are in Greenland! That’s amazing! I think this is the first blog which covers that part of the world. I must say I’m really inspired to venture that far now! 🙂

  2. Your pictures are beautiful! I’ve had the same thought about the tundra in parts of Alaska – it’s so different then anything I’m used to that sometimes I can’t believe it’s real.

  3. Very cool photos! For some reason, I really like the ones you guys are physically in.

Seeing all those landscapes -is- otherworldly, but then seeing you in those landscapes quickly makes me remember, wow this is an actual place we can visit! Pretty awesome.

  4. It is fabulous to be reading posts on Greenland and I am, admittedly enthralled and ever more curious to delve further into the culture and to find a way to explore this stunning landscape in person! Your images of stark grey stone layered in lava red seaweed are beautiful and very inspiring!

  5. That was just amazing to see, however what have brought me to your photos is i was asked the question “why is Greenland an island and not a continent?” I received one answer saying it had something to do with the moon.
