After catching up on work on day 1, we were itching to get out and explore! Brussels is the capital of Belgium, and is also the headquarters of the European Union and NATO. There is also a wealth of history in this city, a very diverse population, and some traditional Belgian delicacies that are too good to miss.
Enough telling you about it…we’ll just show you!
Need to catch up on the week so far?
Special thanks to Martha at Brussels Tourism for showing us the ropes and arming us with the “Brussels Card”, which we put to good use in a later episode!
Love the music and the video, great idea 🙂 And the kitty is cuuuute!
Thanks! The kitty is SO cute, a bit of a menace at times, but still super cute. 🙂
Ah, the pride of Brussels. I thought it would be the waffle. Lol!

Super sweet video! Brussels looks lovely, haven’t been there yet, might time to arrange a trip 🙂
Brussels was a nice surprise for us, considering we went into it without really knowing what to expect. We really enjoyed it!
When I was there in college I stayed in the Mannekin Pis hostel – I wonder if it is still there?
That waffle made me jealous! Are you going to try Neuhaus chocolates? They are my fave!

We could have a whole series of videos just on the crazy cat! The waffles were oh-so-addicting, and the smell was around every corner…I miss them already!
mmm there is a really great chocolate place near the grote markt in brussels where you fill a bag with truffles and they weigh it to find how much you pay….m.mmm… it is next to the tin tin store. it is the BEST BEST BEST
Ack! We missed that! But, I think we ate bad enough as it was for our two weeks there!!
Hey Dalene,
This video of yours fills me up with the nostalgia of my recent trip to Brussels which I did last month!! Completely loved Brussels. I loved the waffles, the weak fork didn’t work for me too 🙂 l!! Manneken Pis was a bit overrated though!! You can sit around the Grand Plaza area for hours gazing a at those gorgeous building without getting bored!! I remember having made a video of the making of waffles!! Interesting blog and so much to read, see and learn!!
Keep travelling!!
Best Wishes

Thanks so much for your comment Amisha! I agree with you re. Manneken Pis – I really didn’t understand what all the fuss was about! The Grand Plaza is beautiful, and best enjoyed when eating a waffle. 🙂
