    I was going to say how unreal it was that the lake on their property actually looks like that but it makes sense with the white sand. Still pretty awesome. Are you allowed to swim in it? 🙂

    1. We wanted to head down to the lakeside, but it is all gated up 🙁

      I could be wrong but supposedly, the lake (and property) was a gift from the father to his daughter. Here honey, I bought you a lake for your birthday. Hope you like it! Crazy…

  2. That is so awesome, I love that they added the white sand because it really does look like a pint of Guinness! I wish I had known this was there when I was in the Wicklows and I would have popped over for a look 🙂

    1. It is definitely worth a look…too bad we couldn’t get down closer to it though. Then of course there would be a slew of pictures of us pretending to slurp up the water… 🙂

    1. So funny…we went to that music festival on the weekend and we were the only ones drinking Guinness (it seemed that way anyways). We asked a local why that was and he said that the Irish are too impatient to wait for it to pour properly – ha!

  3. Hard to believe its less than an hour from Dublin. Last weekend we were on this road (to the Sally Gap) it was too misty to see anything so we went down to Roundwood for lunch and a few hours later the sun was out so we got to see the Guinness lake just like in the photo.

  4. Oh, that’s gorgeous, and really does look like the brew. I’ll chime in here with how much I love Guinness. When I was living in Ireland, I never got out of County Donegal, but now I want to go back and see more of the country.

    1. I have to chime in too, with how much I LOVE Guinness. County Donegal will probably be the only area we will not be able to get up to experience, but we will be back and are going to make a priority to get there.
